Distinguished Lectures Series

With the Distinguished Lectures Series paluno has initiated a series of lectures to specifically support the cooperation between science and practice. A number of renowned speakers from the industry are invited to lecture on current topics of software technology.

The purpose of the Distinguished Lectures Series is to identify and discuss current trends in science, research, development and practice. Furthermore the series of lectures aims to advocate the exchange of information and knowledge between science and industry. The event adresses scientists and entrepreneurs equally.

Following the presentation there is room for discussion with the speakers. The event is open to the public.

"Software Leitstände"

Prof. Dr. Heinz Züllighoven, Universität Hamburg

Heinz Züllighoven (geb. 1949) studierte Elektrotechnik an der RWTH Aachen, danach Germanistik und Mathematik an der Universität Bonn. 1989 promovierte er am Fachbereich Informatik der TU Berlin. Ab dem Jahr 1991 ist er Professor im Arbeitsbereich Softwaretechnik an der Universität Hamburg. Er initiierte das Softwaretechnik Center und das Hamburger  Informatik Technologie-Center e.V. (HITeC).

Jan Jurjens is a professor at the chair of computer science XIV, department of computer science and represents the topic Software Engineering at the Dortmund University of Technology. Concurrently he is scientific coordinator for Enterprise Engineering at the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISST).
