Mobility is a phenomenon with rapidly growing relevance in the context of software. Life and work realities currently experience a shift from fixed to varying places and contexts. The accompanying increase of mobile technologies and data connections raises new challenges in software engineering. Changes in context and communication over insecure and fluctuating data connections require new strategies and modern approaches to mobile software architecture. The mobile computing group analyzes the characteristics of mobile contexts and their impact on the process of software development. In the Mobile Software Development Lab, paluno develops software engineering methods for mobile devices and cross-platform development.
