Software Architecture
The industry’s dependency on proper IT support requires software systems that are aligned to companies’ business models, as well as software systems that are designed to enable fast reactions to changed business requirements.
However, changing or adapting the underlying architecture of a running software system is a risky and expensive task without a guarantee for success. The software architecture research group therefore investigates technologies (such as SOA, cloud computing, mobile platforms), organizational principles (such as enterprise architecture management) and methods to support the design, operation, and enhancement of evolvable software architectures of modern information systems on the Future Internet.
