On April 10, 2019 an event of the series "JRF vor Ort" took place at the DST - Development Center for Ship Technology and Transport Systems in Duisburg with the title " Logistics in Transition: Modern Concepts and Technologies for Interurban Supply in North Rhine-Westphalia". The event was hosted by the Johannes Rau Research Association, the umbrella organization of non-university research institutes in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Dr. Andreas Metzger (Research Group Prof. Dr. Pohl) gave an insight into the data-driven future of logistics. He presented various pilot applications from the EU lighthouse project 'Transforming Transport' and gave the guests an idea of which innovations are conceivable with Big Data in the logistics sector.
