The lecture on July 9, 2024, marked the beginning of the paluno Distinguished Lectures series, where distinguished scientists from Germany and international institutions are invited to paluno to shed light on various aspects of software technology research.

In his presentation, Prof. Mauro Conti drew on recent research findings that he and his team have published at major security conferences (TIFS, Usenix Security, INFOCOM, CCS, Black Hat Hacking). The vivid examples led some participants to reflect on what their own behavior means for their IT security.

For students, doctoral candidates, and postdocs, the Distinguished Lecture provided an opportunity to engage with an outstanding scientist and to learn not only about the technical content but also about successful career paths in academia.
