ReSPro: Requirements Smells in Prompts
Artificial intelligence (AI) is taking on more and more tasks in software development. However, this doesn't always go smoothly. Prof. Dr. Andreas Vogelsang from the paluno Software Engineering Institute at the University of Duisburg-Essen is investigating, in a new project, what influence precise language has on the results of AI-assisted software development. The initiative, called ReSPro, is funded for three years by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
MobyDex – Multimodal Mobility-Index
In order to reduce the volume of private motorized transport, optimizing local public transport is essential. Comprehensive optimization requires an integrated approach that does not stop at the borders of individual municipalities and aligns the public transportation offers with actual needs. MobyDex is developing a comprehensive data, processing and collaboration platform that systematically analyzes offer and demand and enables regional public and corporate mobility planners to jointly create needs-based solutions.
National Research Data Infrastructure for and with Computer Science (NFDIxCS)
The main goal of the consortium NFDIxCS is to identify, define and finally deploy services to store complex domain specific data objects from the specific variety of sub-domains from Computer Science (CS) and to realize the FAIR principles across the board. This includes to produce re-usable data objects specific to the various types of CS data which contain not only this data along with the related metadata, but also the corresponding software, context and execution information in a standardized way. These data objects can be of any size, structure and quality.
Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries
IT security has become a central societal issue since networked devices have permeated our world. Hacker attacks against the Bundestag or large industrial plants prove the explosive nature of this problem. Today, many IT attacks come from large-scale attackers, especially from governmental or semi-governmental organizations. These adversaries are particularly worrisome because they act long-term and have significant technical capabilities and resources. Countermeasures against these most powerful attackers are the focus of the Cluster of Excellence “Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries”. The research follows an interdisciplinary approach, in which leading scientists with a technical orientation cooperate with researchers from psychology who investigate the interaction of human behavior and IT security. This constellation is unique in Europe.
